o my god this is amazing. I love the colors that you chose they work wonderfully in this image. I would like to know what media this is done in. Was this layout done traditionally or digitally. One critique I have is that I feel that the foreground has more detail in comparison to the background. This give the impression that the chair is located in a random collection.I would like to see more items that give the impression that this is Poseidon's lair. I would refer to "Man Caves" a show that dedicates its time to create personal lair's for men as reference. But other than that this is an amazing piece well done :)
Thanks for the feedback! This was drawn traditionally and colored in Photoshop CS4 and Corel Painter 11. Cliff always told us to include more detail in the foreground than in the background, because things are more clear the closer they get and start to fade in detail as they are pushed back in space. I know I didn't do a very good job showing that it is Poseidon's lair. I could have added a trident and some other stuff that would indicate that. I just ran out of time before the due date, and since it was last semester, I never went back to it. Now I'll have to check out "Man Caves" because I suck at interiors. ^_^
